Project Description
A chemical manufacturing company sought to modernize its aging steam heating infrastructure to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and support its sustainability objectives. The existing steam-based system had become increasingly inefficient and required higher maintenance while operating under pressure.
AURA Process Heat engineered and supplied a 100 kW electric thermal fluid heating system with an integrated cooling device, replacing the conventional fuel-fired steam system with a modern thermal fluid solution. The new system delivers precise process temperatures of up to 572°F, ensuring reliable heating for press-based vulcanization processes.
Commissioned in 2025, the upgraded system enables safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible operation while significantly improving process control and production reliability.
What is Challenge for client?
The client needed to replace an outdated steam heating system with a modern solution that improved efficiency while supporting sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Aging steam infrastructure with high maintenance requirements
- High energy consumption and fuel dependency
- Need to reduce carbon emissions
- Safe operation with lower system pressure
- Precise heating required for vulcanization presses
