Project Description
A leading specialty paper manufacturer required a precision heating and cooling solution to support the production of high-quality paper products for the food industry. The company manufactures specialty paper used in hygienic food packaging, where product consistency, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy are critical to meeting stringent quality standards.
AURA Process Heat engineered and supplied a 100 kW electrically heated thermal fluid heating system with an integrated cooling device, designed to provide precise temperature control throughout the paper manufacturing process. The system ensures uniform heating of the calender rolls through which the paper passes, enabling consistent thermal conditions that are essential for producing premium paper products.
During the manufacturing process, the heated calender rolls smooth the paper surface, precisely control material thickness, increase paper density, and create the desired surface characteristics. Immediately after heating, the integrated cooling device provides controlled cooling, stabilizing the material, preserving its final properties, and preparing it for subsequent processing stages.
What is Challenge for client?
The client required a highly precise thermal management system capable of delivering uniform heating and controlled cooling to maintain the quality, consistency, and performance of specialty paper products throughout the manufacturing process.
- Uniform heating of calender rolls for consistent paper quality
- Precise temperature control up to 338°F
- Accurate regulation of paper thickness and surface finish
- Controlled cooling to stabilize material properties after heating
- Reliable operation for continuous specialty paper production
